Chris Marlon: The atmosphere in the locker room is excellent because all the guys are great.
A 30-year-old French footballer, originally from Gabon, began his career in Montenegro, playing for Mladost Lob.bet, with which he achieved promotion to the Meridianbet First Montenegrin Football League.
Later, he moved to FK Mornar, where he quickly “fit in” with the team. Coach Zoran Đurašković “reassigned” him from the left side to the center-forward position in the absence of captain Aleksandra Vujačić, which turned out to be a good move. His speed creates problems for opposing defenses, and his good performances contribute to the team’s success.

We spoke with Chris Marlon Ondong Mba and asked him about his initial impressions of Montenegro, the city of Bar, and his adaptation to Montenegrin football.
“I like Montenegro and the city of Bar; it’s a beautiful area, a quiet place, and beautiful nature. I particularly love the sea, and I’m happy here. Football here is different from the places I played before. It’s physically demanding, but there are several good teams to compete against.”
When it comes to playing as a number nine, as a striker, it seems you are getting better and better in games, given your speed and the trouble you cause to the opposing defenses?
“My primary position is as a left and right winger, but I can also play as a forward. Yes, the coach assigns me to that position, and my task is to help the team, regardless of the position on the field. The most important thing is to help the team achieve excellent results and meet our goals, so if I need to play as a forward or left-back to help the team, I will do it. Yes, one of my qualities is my speed.”
What do you think about the quality of the Mornar team?
“I think we have quality players in the team, and the most important thing is the atmosphere in the locker room, which is excellent because all the guys are great.”
