“As for the injury, it’s a knee injury that I got in the match with Rudar on September Fortunately, I won’t need surgery, but it will take a little longer to heal properly.
“Every day I work according to the program, strengthen my leg and I hope to be ready to start preparations for the second half of the season.”
How do you see these excellent results achieved by Mornar?
“The boys are playing great, from game to game we play better football and we proved to the whole league that we are a team that deserves respect and is fighting for the very top of the table.
The match under Gorica with Budućnosti in the next round will not be easy, but we caused a lot of problems for Budućnosti in two games at home and I have no doubt that it will not be the same at the weekend. We are going for a positive result, for sure.”
Who do you think are the main favorites to win the championship and can Mornar join the fight for Europe?
“Well, the main favorites are the two teams that are currently in the first two positions, it will be a fight until the very end, and Mornar, of course, has ambitions and the quality to win that place that will take us to the qualifications for Europe.”
Which player do you think is the league’s most pleasant surprise this season?
“Well, the most pleasant surprise is my teammate Demir Škrijelj, who was revived by the head of the professional staff, Zoran Đurašković. I can freely say that he is our best player in this first part of the championship, and not only ours, but I think he is also among the best in the entire league, along with a couple of other players. The guy has unreal quality, and also continuity, which is very important both for us and for his career.”
