
After the fourth round of the group stage matches in the Conference League, four teams have secured a place in the direct elimination phase: Viktoria Plzen is mathematically first in Group C, while Paok and Eintracht (already qualified) will compete for the top spot in the group on November 30.
Bruges has also secured qualification, while Turkish giants Besiktas and Fenerbahce were unexpectedly defeated by Bodo Glimt and Ludogorets, respectively.
The match between Ferencvaros and Genk ended in a draw, as did the encounter between Slovan Bratislava and Lille. Aston Villa secured a 2-1 victory over AZ Alkmaar.
Group A
Lille is in the lead, with Slovan following closely. The two big teams in Group A faced each other in Bratislava in a match that determined the group’s leader. After a challenging first half, the French took the lead with a goal from Angel Gomes, exploiting Yazici’s assist. In the 69th minute, Slovaks equalized with a goal from Serbian international Aleksandar Cavric, securing a 1-1 draw. Despite the draw, Paulo Fonseca’s men remain in the first place with 8 points, while Slovan has 7 points, ahead of Klaksvik (4).
Group B
Maccabi Tel Aviv had an easy victory against Ukrainian side Zorya, playing their home games in Lublin, Poland. The Israelis scored three goals in the first 45 minutes, with Luckassen and Dor Peretz securing the win. In the second half, Zorya managed to reduce the deficit, but Maccabi climbed to the second spot. Gent secured a 3-2 victory over Breidablik, thanks to Orban’s hat-trick.
Group C
Viktoria Plzen can already celebrate, defeating Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 and remaining at the top with a perfect 12 points, +8 ahead of second-placed Astana. Chory’s penalty in the 35th minute decided the match. The game between Astana and Ballkani ended in a goalless draw, leaving both teams with 4 points.
Group D
Besiktas, coached by Burak Yilmaz, suffered another defeat, this time at home against Bodo Glimt, slipping to the bottom of the group with just one point in four matches. The Norwegians took the lead in the 38th minute and secured a 2-1 win. Bruges defeated Lugano 2-0, with goals from Thiago and Vanaken.
Group E
In Warsaw, Legia secured a 2-0 victory over HSK Zrinjski Mostar. Augustyniak and Josue scored in the first half, and despite Zrinjski’s efforts in the second half, they remain at the bottom of the group. Aston Villa came from behind to win 2-1 against AZ Alkmaar.
Group
In the match between Ferencvaros and Genk, the teams drew 1-1. Genk and Ferencvaros have 6 points each, two less than Fiorentina. Good news for Fiorentina, as they hoped for a draw between Ferencvaros and Genk in the other group match.
Group G
Paok and Eintracht Frankfurt ended the dreams of Aberdeen and Helsinki, now 7 and 8 points away from the second spot in the group. Paok drew 2-2 with Aberdeen, while Eintracht defeated Helsinki 1-0 with a goal from Chaibi.
Group H
Nordsjaelland secured a valuable 1-1 draw against Spartak Trnava, reducing the gap to -2 compared to Fenerbahce. However, Fenerbahce unexpectedly lost to Ludogorets, leaving them with a -3 point difference from the top spot. Ludogorets celebrated a 2-0 victory with goals from Piotrowski and Seco.
