In Kotor, a derby match was played between Bokelje and Otrant Olimpico on a difficult pitch. The match ended in a draw, but the players of both teams provided an interesting game that was rewarded with applause from the audience.
The coach of Otranto, Dejan Vukićević, gave an interview to Radio Kotor in which he stated:
“Instead of commenting on the match, it was enough to look at the stands, I don’t think there was a fan who regretted coming to the game today, that everyone applauded the actors for their desire and fighting spirit to get points.
The match was above the second league level, two good teams. I told the players that last year, thanks to the points from Kotor, we stayed in the league, that we played them twice at home and that we have not yet lost to Bokelje, and that this is the fourth game, since I have been on the Otranto bench, that we have reached that important point.
As for the table, we have kept the same difference and there will certainly be more points lost. Bokelj was dominant especially in Kotor for the whole half-season, we remained undefeated and that is very important for us, yes we were leading, but this is a very big point.
It’s very important that no one gets hurt. Poček does very well on this pitch and we had problems there, with the entry of Pepić, Bokelj put additional pressure on us and it is certain that he has a strong team, especially up front, but we succeeded in what we came for and I am very satisfied”.
Speaking about his arrival at the club and plans for the next period, Vukićević added:
“I started in January, when Otrant was regretted, the goal was to reach survival, so let’s see in the summer, how far we can realistically plan further.
The club is still far from the first league level, but we are working on the growth of the club in every matter and at every level and I am very satisfied with how it is going.
The goal is to be stable in the second division, for now it is going as it should be, these three rounds until the end of the half-season will show us some further ambition, we have Berane and Podgorica at home and we are visiting Igala.
If they would win a lot of points from those three matches, in order to be competitors with Bokelja and Podgorica, why not strengthen ourselves for the winter and see how far we can go. In any case, I am satisfied with the half-season”.
